Frequently Asked Questions

Market Introducers and Suppliers
The Supplier of the Placer on the Market is a natural or legal person who manufactures a product within the scope of the Deposit Management System (DMS) on behalf of the placer on the market and under its brand, but does not place the product on the market in its own name. In this context, while the Supplier of the Placer on the Market carries out the technical or physical production process of the product, the DMS obligations and the responsibility within the system rest with the placer on the market.
Market introducers who will place packaged products within the scope of the Mandatory DMS on the market must register in DIMS, submit all required information and documents related to their products and packages via DIMS, and initiate the approval process for their in-scope packages. Packaging approval is granted for packages that fully complete the approval process by meeting the criteria defined within the scope of the Mandatory DMS. For this purpose, a Packaging Approval Center has been established by the Mint, and the process is carried out via DIMS. Packages within the scope of the system must complete the packaging approval process in order to be placed on the market.
The steps required for packaging approval are specified in the “Packaging Approval Application Screens User Guide”. You can access the guide via the link below:
The general principles regarding criteria for in-scope packages, barcode and logo usage, and the physical requirements of packages are defined in the Procedures and Principles Regarding Mandatory Deposit Management System Applications published by TÜÇA. If the DMS mark cannot be positioned according to standard criteria for the product applied for packaging approval, you should request information about the process via the help desk so that the Packaging Approval Center can evaluate the label/package design in terms of technical constraints.
