In identifying the products listed in Annex-2 of the Procedures and Principles Regarding Mandatory Deposit Applications, the provisions of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry’s Turkish Food Codex regulations, the Regulation on Waters for Human Consumption dated 17/2/2005 and numbered 25730, and the Regulation on Natural Mineral Waters dated 1/12/2004 and numbered 25657 are taken into account. Market introducers should classify their products in line with the classes determined by the relevant ministries’ regulations/opinions.

Companies importing packaged products within scope are also considered market introducers and must register in the system under the market introducer role.

Even if products are in the same product group or have the same volume, if their barcode differs, each product with a different barcode must be registered separately.

Market introducers who are GS1 members must assign a unique GTIN that will be defined specifically for the Mandatory DMS using the company-specific prefix provided by GS1, and must use this GTIN GS1 barcode within the DMS mark.
